A seed pod hangs from a tree,
All dry and brown and ready to be free.
It's been waiting for the wind to blow,
To carry it away to a place to grow.

The wind blows and the seed pod flies,
Spinning and twirling through the skies.
It lands in a soft bed of dirt,
And starts to grow a new plant, alert.

The sun shines and the rain falls,
And the plant grows tall and strong.
It makes leaves and flowers and fruit,
And provides food for animals and a beautiful sight.

The seed pod is gone,
But the plant it created lives on.
It's a reminder that even the smallest things,
Can have a big impact on the world.
